J. Kim Wright is the author of the flagship ABA best-selling books, Lawyers as Peacemakers, Practicing Holistic, Problem-Solving Law [ABA Publishing, 2010] and Lawyers as Changemakers, the Global Integrative Law Movement [ABA Publishing, 2016]. In 2009, the ABA named Kim as one of the first “Legal Rebels, finding new ways to practice law, represent their clients, adjudicate cases and train the next generation of lawyers.”

From 2008 to 2020, Kim led CLE programs and offered coaching and consulting around the world. Conscious Contracts is her most popular program. She has trained lawyers in most US states, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, India, Brazil, and Australia.  The Australian Corporate Lawyers Association sponsored the Conscious Contract program several times, including their annual conference. She has also taught as adjunct faculty and has been guest lecturer at dozens of law schools.

Kim is a reinvention expert. She has reinvented herself several times and has worked with dozens of lawyers in their transformative odysseys.

 

From 1994 to 2000 and again from 2003 to 2008, Kim ran her own law practices in North Carolina.  (In between, she was a mediator in Portland, Oregon.)  In 2008, she began a world tour, meeting and supporting integrative lawyers around the world.  Her 12 years as a digital nomad were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kim Wright has a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.  She maintains an active law license in North Carolina.
