This is the central site for J. Kim Wright. You may have arrived here by following a link to jkimwright.com, healersofconflicts.com or consciouscoach.com.

The author of the new ABA best seller, Lawyers as Peacemakers, Practicing Holistic, Problem-Solving Law, (ABA, 2010), J. Kim Wright is the publisher of CuttingEdgeLaw.com, a web community, magazine and resource center which proposes the question: What if lawyers were peacemakers, problem-solvers and healers of conflicts? In 2009, the American Bar Association named her as one of their 50 Legal Rebels who are “finding new ways to practice law, represent their clients, adjudicate cases and train the next generation of lawyers,” http://www.legalrebels.com/profiles/j._kim_wright_collaborator

As publisher of CuttingEdgeLaw.com, Kim and her business partner, Michael Matthews, have interviewed over a hundred lawyers, law professors, law students, judges and allied professionals who are on the cutting-edge of legal practice. Those interviews and hundreds of other multimedia files are located at www.cuttingedgelaw.com.

In addition to her recent book, she has written many articles; a representative selection is available at the Publications link.

Kim coaches lawyers on transforming their law practices and finding right livelihood. She leads retreats, speaks and trains lawyers in new approaches to law and the skills needed to succeed in the new paradigm of law practice. She still maintains a small virtual law practice. Links in the menu above and the right sidebar will go to more information about those services and activities.

As a media professional, Kim is a willing and generous resource to the media. The Media Relations link includes more information for the media and about her media consulting work.

Between 1977 and 2003, more than sixteen children lived with Kim. Thrilled to be an empty nester, in Spring, 2008, she flew the coop and began to travel. Kim has been location independent, traveling around the United States. She expects to settle down someday, somewhere but not today.
